Great bed. Nightmare to put together.
This bed is fantastic for kids. But it is quite the challenge to put together. It took about a total of 16 hours spread over 4 days. But my granddaughter loves it. Beyond loves it.Grandmomof9
I had read several online reviews of this bed, many of them talked of missing parts and of the base for the mattress being of poor quality.
I have to say I was very impressed, the bed was delivered promptly, in 4 large boxes (though the driver wouldn't deliver them to anywhere other than our garage so we had to carry basically 1 piece at a time all the way upstairs!) and all parts were there - in fact we had spares of some.
The pieces seem sturdy, there was no trim peeling off or dints/dings.
Again, many people talked of it being a day's work to assemble, we worked on it on and off throughout the day, but if we'd done it consistently it would have been about 2 hours work, and definitely 2 strong people needed when lifting the bed base onto the 2 supports.
My daughter loves her new bed, we feel she's safe and secure up there, though the totally vertical steps are not a lot of fun for a Mom changing sheets, lol!Strawberrymivvy
We've had this for a few weeks. Our boys (8 & 10) love it. It's solid and makes very good use of space. Give yourself two days to put it together if you're working in a small bedroom. The boxes and packaging generate a lot of carton recycling and garbage and you're always moving stuff around to find an area to work.
One large vertical part of the desk was cracked at the top corner. I was lucky it didn't affect the structure overall because I didn't have time to get a new piece shipped out to me. The drawers are not particularly well made (plastic runners) but solid enough. The finish looks a little cheap to me - IKEA would be better in this respect but they don't make anything like it. The dark brown or white finish would probably be better than the wood finishes.
So overall - not bad. $1000 seems a little steep though.oneroomtwoboys
We bought this for my daughter who's looking forward to sleepovers. It was a bit challenging to assemble. The instructions, weren't very clear but once assembled it looked great and is holding up against rambunctious 7 & 8 year olds.
Two tumbs up!
I bought this bunk bed a week ago, and I am soo glad I did it!
- A lot of cool features
- Soo long to build
- One missing part in a box
- Placing the sheets of both beds is a nightmare!
Tips for buyers :
1. This bed is MASSIVE! I don't recommand it in smaller room then 12x12.
2. If you hate to build things, it is NOT for you!AnnieFromQc
