I've been using this item for only a couple weeks, so I can't address how durable this shower mat will be.
This mat has a hefty, sturdy feel to the rubber. The suction cups grip very well and I feel quite secure using this mat, but it doesn't need extraordinary effort to pick it up for cleaning or to be hung up to dry. Water seems to drain under the mat without any problem; there's no 'puddling' after the shower.
There is nothing fancy about it, no "bells and whistles" such as "massage pebbles" or some other gimmick; it's plain and white and utilitarian and so far I'm very happy with it.Nancy
