Great mattress
The Modern Sleep Cool Gel 8 inch Ventilated Gel Memory Foam Mattress came to us vacuum sealed and rolled. It didn't look 8 inches thick before we removed the vacuum sealed packaging. As soon as we cut the seal the mattress took its shape. There was no wait time for the mattress to take its natural form. The mattress is white and has a textured design on it. It also has a zipper that goes around the entire back of the mattress. I'm guessing the outer layer comes off, but I was not willing to try to take it off for fear it might be hard to put back on. My Queen size fitted sheet fit this mattress easily. My husband an I slept on the mattress for the first time last night and it was a very pleasant experience. My husband suffers from back pain and he said he could feel the difference sleeping with a memory foam mattress as opposed to a regular mattress. He woke with less back stress and aches then he usually does sleeping on our old regular mattress. I liked how the memory foam forms to your body as you sleep. No part of my body was unsupported. We both had a very restful sleep on this mattress and we are very happy with it.tinkerwd

The Modern Sleep Cool Gel 8-inch Ventilated Gel Memory Foam mattress is an excellent mattress. I love memory foam mattresses because of how well they support my back. I prefer them to an inner spring mattress hands down for comfort and support. This mattress came shipped in a big roll and after carefully removing the thicker outer plastic wrap there was an inner plastic to pull away as well. As soon as I opened it, it started to unroll very quickly so be sure to open it in the bedroom where you want to lay it down in. There is a smell when you first set up a memory foam mattress and you need to air it out as much as you can before you encase it in any mattress protector or even a fitted sheet. I set mine up around noon and kept the ceiling fan on throughout the day. At bedtime, I put a loose sheet on top to sleep, the odor was still there but not overpowering. In the morning, I took that off to continue to air it, the odor was completely gone within 48 hrs. This mattress is firm, yet very comfortable. The foam is not hot like sometimes happens with memory foam. It seems the cool gel layer really does work as far as that is concerned. I thought I would be unhappy with the thickness of this mattress being only 8 inches which is similar to a regular inner spring mattress thickness. I was wrong about that, the thickness is perfect! It is easy to lift the corners when making the bed, unlike thicker mattresses. It is lightweight yet sturdy. The modern sleep cool gel memory foam mattress has a zippered cover that can be removed and washed also. There is a twenty five year limited warranty as well. Great mattress!SuperAmmi
