You will not be disappointed
I purchased this bed after researching several loft beds from Amazon, Walmart, Overstock, and other retailers.
After researching at least 50 loft beds and reading all the reviews, the 2 main complaints from the one star reviews are:
1. The bed is not stable; it wobbles.
2. Metal lofts beds are very tender to touch when climbing the ladder, many kid's complained that the metal ladder hurt their feet.
So, I decided I was in the market for a wooden loft bed. I was hesitant to purchase this loft bed, after reading some reviews, but I am happy I went through with the purchase, and saved $200.00.
My son's father assembled the loft bed, and it is 100% stable, it does not wobble at all.
If your bed wobbles after assembly, here are two thoughts:
1. Did you secure the screws? This may sound asinine, but I've done this before.
2. The bed specifies it can hold up to 200lbs, so if the person using this bed weighs 150lbs or more, it may wobble a little, but it's not going anywhere. Unless it's mounted to the wall or ceiling, expect some slight movement.
Now, in the long run, if it starts to feel unstable, secure the screws. This is not 100% real, heavy wood, and even if it were real wood, depending on its use, some furniture needs to be maintained. Weight and constant movement may loosen the screws, and will need to be tightened.
So with that said, this bed is definitely worth the dollars invested. I was considering a bed that was $200.00 more, and I am extremely happy I went with this bed and saved.
I am not getting paid for this review. I am just a mom, writing her first review. We moved and downsize to a one bedroom, so we can save for a forever home, and I now share a room with my 5 year old son.
This loft bed is a space saver, and my son loves it. He was sleeping with me since we moved, and I was afraid he wouldn't sleep in his own bed, but now he runs to his new "Super Big Boy" bed. He loves it. I actually miss cuddling with him, this bed plays an important role with his growth.
I feel completely safe with him not falling off the bed. There are planks on the side to guard your child from falling, which helps me sleep at night.
Also, plan to take a few hours to assemble this bed. I am going to save frustration, if you think you will only need one hour to assemble it, you're going to be disappointed. Plan to take 2-3 hours of your time to assemble it. It is worth every second, I promise. I hope this comment helps.Teresa
Great! Space Saver
Nice loft bed. My 8 year old is obsessed with it. It's pretty sturdy and the instructions were simple to follow. I did most of the bed myself, but needed another person to help during some parts of it. Recommend for anyone trying to conserve some space in their kid's room!Kelly
Great value for the price
Very sturdy materials, easier to put together than Ikea furniture, and doesn't look cheap. Power tools recommended for the build, instructions relatively easy to follow. Got this for our daughter's 7th birthday and she loves it, especially the "hang-out zone" as she called it! Finished it off with some fairy lights, sheer curtains and a rug.Nmac
