Get this bed!! It is so sturdy and the directions are easy to follow. I searched for so long to find a good mini bunk bed or loft bed for my kids, ages 3 and 4. I wanted something not too tall, so this worked out perfect being less than 50" off the ground. And if we want to separate the bed into two later, we have that option. But it is a great space saver and both my kids love it.Beth
Would definitely recommend!
I ultimately went with this bunk bed because it was the cheapest one with good reviews that I could find. I am very happy with my purchase. At first the delivery said it would be almost 2 weeks, but I'm not one to complain for free shipping. It ended up being just over a week before it arrived! The box, as expected, is very heavy and you need 2 people to move it. You pretty much put together two twin beds and then stack them. It comes with the hex key to do so but my husband has a hex attachment for his drill he used. He said it would have taken forever to do it by hand. You will also needs a Phillip's head attachment or screwdriver that the manual doesn't tell you until you get to that step. There are a few dents on mine, and at one point that would have really upset me, but seeing friends bunk beds who have had them for years, that's going to end up happening with little kids anyway. My just turned 2 year old sleeps on the bottom and I love that it's on the floor so I dont have to worry about him falling off the bed. My just turned 4 year old sleeps on the top and just loves it. I love that its low enough that we dont have to climb up there to tuck him in at night, we can just lean up. There is only one option for where to put the ladder but that's fine with me. I would definitely recommend this bunk bed especially if your children are younger. It fits two standard twin mattresses but the fact that its lower to the ground makes it seem like it takes up less space. I was tempted to buy a twin over full for the extra sleeping space but I'm glad I went with a twin over twin, as our bedrooms in this house aren't the biggest.Scottmomof2
This was alot sturdier than i anticpated. With the excoetion fo the slats and the smaller running boards everything seemed to be solid wood. We bought hybrid mattreses of foam and spring and we did not need a box spring. I know it shows without hut we were concerned with how spread a part and narrow the slats were at first. Everything worked out great. The only con is give a day or two if you can to air out the bunk bed. The paint or wood had a very strong smell but now has dissipated.Troy
